Večerom sprevádzal šiestykrát po sebe Trevor Noah a najväčšiu pozornosť na seba strhol Bad Bunny, ktorý triumfoval v kategórii za najlepší album roka, pričom jeho doska Debí Tirar Más Fotos je vôbec prvým albumom v španielčine, ktorý získal túto hlavnú cenu.

Veľký večer má za sebou aj Kendrick Lamar, ktorý si odniesol až 5 sošiek a stal sa najviac oceňovaným raperom v histórii Grammy. Cena za song roka putovala Billie Eilish a jej skladbe Wildflower. Nováčikom roka sa stala britská speváčka Olivia Dean a ceny sa ušili aj Lady Gage, Lole Young, Yungblud či Jelly Roll a mnohí ďalší. Históriu prepisovala skladba Golden z animáku KPop Demon Hunters, ktorá sa stala prvou K-Pop piesňou, ktorá dostala Grammy.
